Founded in 2016, SYLK started as what is still the core of our brand; a love for vintage clothes. From working two jobs and selling out of our tiny London bedrooms, we decided to relocate back to our hometown of Manchester where we now run our whole business in an old mill located in Ardwick.
Sustainability is a key part of how we run our business, from using biodegradable packaging right through to how we live our personal lives. With that in mind we try to source stock as local as possible with the majority of our stock being sourced in the UK. We hand-source all our items to ensure that the style and quality fits our brand.
Our aesthetic has always leaned to a more minimal wardrobe, helping our customers style our clothes with ease and shop with longevity in mind. The majority (not inclusive) of our stock is menswear styled as women’s. We love an oversized, relaxed look but personal style is key and we love seeing how our customers style our clothes differently.
